David Koppenhofer
Senior Business Process Engineer

David Koppenhofer is a Senior Business Process Engineer with Ferrilli Information Group and he brings more than thirteen years of solid hands-on experience exclusively in higher education. David earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Information Systems and a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. The combination of David’s strong academic background and his hands-on experience will allow him to be successful with a variety of clients.

David has mastered Datatel Colleague, UniData platform, and the technologies of the Envision Toolkit.  He is proficient in Javascript, CSS, XML, XSLT, and SQL.  David also has extensive Unix experience with UniData on Solaris and HP-UX, and familiarity with Slackware, Redhat, and Ubuntu Linux flavors.

As a Datatel Senior Systems Analyst, David served as team leader coordinating activities, facilitating meetings, and moving teams toward standardized documentation and activity tracking.  Additionally, he administered both Colleague and UniData, managed patch loading, custom code merging, file maintenance, and fixed damaged files.  David also reduced the time of human intervention needed for cloning an environment

David has designed, coded, tested, documented, and maintained software systems built on Colleague.  He has implemented Web Registration as part of a five member cross-functional team hand-selected by the College President.  He is adept at integrating external academic testing results with Datatel’s Degree Audit academic planning module, and has developed new and unique client-targeted programs on vendor-supplied platforms. 

Additionally, David diligently monitors the operations of designated programs and responds rapidly to issues by diagnosing and correcting errors.  He also thrives on opportunities to instruct and assist end-users with the operation of various software packages.  He is proficient in documenting both source code and user processes, while maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and College regulations and timelines.
