Dorothy “Digi” Edwards
Senior Business Process Engineer

Digi Edwards is a Senior Business Process Engineer with Ferrilli Information Group and she brings more than 25 years of progressive experience in Information Technology. With 20 of those years in higher education, Digi has worked for both private and public four-year universities and community colleges throughout North America.   She has been responsible for providing leadership, planning, and technical direction to Project Management Teams, planning and implementation of activities for ERP systems, and for third-party options, as required.  She has had direct involvement in ERP planning and coordination of activities to ensure client satisfaction, adherence to budget, positive implementation plans, and absolute analysis of ERP enhancement planning. She was also responsible for the implementation, development, and adherence to the policies and procedures and development of technical and functional documentation. 

Digi has performed well in many CIO and IT leadership positions. She emphasized her talents in the area of administrative systems to include technical oversight and direction for the enhancement and planning of campus-wide information systems software and supporting infrastructure initiatives.  Her employment history includes working with Datatel, SunGard/Collegis, CampusWorks as well as working directly with a variety of institutions.  Additionally, Digi has performed as Temporary IT Leader, CIO, Technical Director, and Programming Manager on client engagements related to achieving a significant Return on Investment (ROI) for large scale technology projects.   Her efforts provided an efficient roadmap for process improvement and have laid the groundwork for optimizing ERP system operational components.

Digi’s Datatel Colleague system experience covers a wide spectrum from developer to technical/functional trainer, to implementation/augmentation project manager.  She has assisted college leaders with developing strategic technology plans that are aligned with budget information to support comprehensive and new technology initiatives. 

Digi is responsible for a variety of activities which include: developing and maintaining client partnerships, assisting with the development of client budgets and project plans, implementing  Colleague Best Practices, managing emerging technology initiatives to include the implementation of portal, single sign-on and 24/7 support models.  Digi is exceptionally knowledgeable in, and has remarkable in-depth expertise with, enterprise applications and the interrelated executive, administrative, instructional and web service technologies.
