Joe Ng is a Senior Business Process Engineer with Ferrilli Information Group and he brings over twelve years of extensive and diverse experience in Datatel software products.  That experience comes from a consulting background and his position as a Systems Administrator at institutions of higher education.  Joe has worked for both private and public universities and community colleges and he is a specialist in Colleague ST, CF, HR/Payroll, CORE, CA, Benefactor, Informer 4.x, eCommerce, WebAdvisor, TOOL Kit and Colleague Studio.  He possesses a depth of knowledge and experience developing and customizing Datatel modules, databases, WebAdvisor, Xap Online Applications and Informer 4.x applications, as well as Envision Programming.  He has extensive experience in creating various programs to import and export Datatel data and has developed custom front-end screens, batch processes, and reporting.

Joe’s expertise lies in taking the leading role in helping clients resolve various issues that impede their processes.  After thorough analysis, he develops, implements, and trains users on various tools that will allow the client’s institution to work more effectively in achieving their goals through new technologies.  Since he has held major responsibilities in IT computing in institutions of higher education, he is keenly aware of the problems with which they are confronted.

While the majority of Joe’s experience has been as a consultant to higher education, he has also held positions as a Programmer, Computer Operations Manager, Systems Administrator, and trainer.  Based on that experience, Joe recognized that clients often do not know how to take advantage of new technologies or are not even aware of them.  Joe is committed to identifying new technologies for his clients, and following through in helping them adopt and tweak those technologies.

Joe prides himself with his tenacity for staying abreast of new technologies as they relate to his areas of expertise and to the needs of higher education.  He cites his major responsibility as taking the leading role in helping clients resolve issues, develop custom solutions, and train users in expert execution, thus allowing his clients to more efficiently and effectively serve the needs of their clientele.
