Steve Stratoti Business Process Engineer
Steve Stratoti has several years of Datatel experience as a top Business Process Engineer for Ferrilli Information Group. He is an innovator, an instructor, and a seasoned programmer. He has worked on a major university’s Colleague Release 18 upgrade and Microsoft SharePoint portal developments and implementations. He has also developed custom Alumni reports using Uniquery, SQL Server, and Informer for a University Advancement office. By integrating Colleague data with a number of third party applications such as SEDONA, Steve helped make it possible for faculty and staff to utilize the internet to maintain their teaching, research, and service records.
Steve is a practiced leader in technological innovation. At University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, for example, he implemented an emergency cell phone text messaging system (e2campus) that allows parents, students, faculty, and staff to sign up for alerts and receive reports of an incident from their phone with a simple text message. Steve has also developed solid methods for rapid conversion, development, and entry of existing content into the ActiveCampus Content Management System. He has assisted in bringing more than one ActiveCampus CMS website live, and has also assisted clients in developing and executing project plans for testing and implementing upgrades to the CMS system. He has also developed custom content types, custom payment workflows, and custom XSLT files for use in the ActiveCampus CMS system.
Steve has continually worked to bridge the gap between the users and technology wherever he has served. He integrated Colleague class teaching assignments and student enrollment/drops with the ANGEL learning management system. Students and Faculty were then able to access their online classes within an hour of associating themselves with the section. In addition, Steve helped reduce one institution’s carbon footprint by integrating Colleague and ANGEL with OnlineCourseEvaluations.com, a site that facilitates online student evaluations of teachers. He also co-authored and managed a custom phone-a-thon program currently used at a major university.
Steve has also created custom eCommerce solutions that integrate with 3rd party payment processors. He has designed a nightly batch process that uploads outstanding payment information directly into an online payment processor. He has also designed custom .NET pages that allow parents and students to submit Credit Card and Electronic Check payments from ActiveCampus CMS to a 3rd party payment processor.
A skilled instructor at the university level, Steve has directed instructional sessions on the Education Planning module in Colleague for a major college. He has also given instructional sessions on customizing Cascading Style Sheets, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation (XSLT) files, and understanding Extensible Markup Language (XML) files.
Steve Stratoti earned his undergraduate degree in Information Systems and Technology from Drexel University.
